Apple Maps, a new ride page and push notifications

Apple Maps on every map, a calmer ride page, video replays and ride links, My Rides by month, push notifications and a new My Profile.

Released on Android. On iPhone, everything here comes with 1.6.

Ride

  • Every map in the app is Apple Maps.
  • Stop is a three-second hold, and starting and stopping each have their own feel and sound.
  • The recording screen keeps still, and Share live is a small chip.
  • Forgot to stop? After ten minutes standing still, Ride Now shows when you stopped and offers to end the ride there.
  • Directions to a ride's meeting point open in your maps app, with a choice of app on iPhone.

My Rides

  • My Rides lists your rides by month, each with its route's shape, and you can search your rides and trips.
  • A new ride page: the route, four numbers and one speed chart, with the map scrolling away as you read.
  • More on every ride: the lean in each corner, personal records, climbs on the chart, time ridden after dark and a comparison with your other rides on the same road.
  • Change a ride's vehicle, trim a ride on its map with one slider, and undo a delete.
  • A trip reads as an itinerary of its rides.
  • Export a ride or a trip as a GPX file.

Sharing

  • Share a finished ride or trip with a link. The shared map hides the stretch near where it starts and ends.
  • A video replay of your ride that follows you along the route.
  • New posters: Route map, Square post and Stats card, in Story and feed sizes.

Community

  • Community leads with Next up and My clubs, and Find clubs has its own screen.
  • Tap a club member to see their rider card, with their home city.
  • Hosts pick a club's city from suggestions as they type.
  • Report a club without blocking its owner.
  • Club hosts see who came to each ride, and can export the member list and the ride history.

Events

  • A registration link opens its ride page in the app, starting with your own registration.
  • Add to calendar opens your phone's own calendar.
  • Hosts get a simpler ride editor and can turn each built-in question on or off.

Profile

  • A calmer My Profile that opens on your month, with Month in review and Year in review.
  • Your longest streak counts weeks in a row.
  • Push notifications, with a Notifications screen to choose which ones you get.
  • My garage takes bicycles too, a vehicle can change its type, and every vehicle has its own icon.
  • Add your home city to your profile.

Fixes

  • The iPhone back swipe shows the screen you came from instead of white.
  • Back returns to each screen as you left it.
  • Links to other apps, such as WhatsApp or Google Maps, open in those apps.
  • A ride keeps recording when you open a page such as the privacy policy.
