Ride chat, who's going and QR codes
Talk with your ride's riders on its page, see who's going, share a ride or a club by its QR code, and swipe through calmer My Rides.
Ride
- Ride Now starts on your default vehicle, which is now kept with your account.
My Rides
- Calmer rows in My Rides: a title, a day, the distance and the moving time.
- Swipe a ride to add it to a trip or delete it.
- Rename a ride by tapping its name, and find every action for a ride at the end of its page.
- A very short ride offers to delete itself on its page.
- The full map gives its speed chart two fifths of the screen, and the route trace beside the chart opens the full map.
- Trips show the shapes of their rides when you add a ride to one.
Sharing
- Share a ride or a club from one sheet that leads with its QR code.
- Star your favourite share designs: they come first, then the ones you use most.
- The replay preview plays once, and a ride round a circuit replays its fastest lap.
- A share link the app made but you never sent is turned off again.
Community
- With Private profile on, other members of your clubs see you as Private rider, without your name or photo.
- Pick your home city from the suggestions, and Find clubs lists the clubs in your home city first.
- Report and Block sit quietly at the foot of a rider card, and a block can be undone from the message that confirms it.
- A calmer Hosting tab, with your rides in two lists.
Events
- Messages on a ride page: hosts post announcements, and riders chat with each other. Hosts can turn the chat off.
- Hosts, registered riders and club members see who's going on a ride's page.
- Cancel your own registration while the ride is still ahead, and the hosts are told.
- A registration made with your email can be added to your rides in the app.
- You get an email when the host confirms your spot.
- The public registration form names the ride's club, says how many are going, and says when your spot waits for the host.
- Hosts start the live map and message riders from rows in the Hosting panel.
Profile
- One switch turns every notification off, and keeps your choices for when you turn them back on.
- Your longest streak opens a sheet that says what a streak counts.
Fixes
- Heights on Android are measured above sea level, as on iPhone.
- Errors say in plain words what did not load, and loading stops quickly while you are offline, then tries again once you are back.
- On a new phone, the app says it is bringing your rides from the cloud.
- Ride Now's figures and the tab labels fit on small screens.
