Google Maps, a ride app that works offline, and new group rides

Every map is now Google Maps, MotoTrk keeps working without signal, group rides are easier to join, and hosts get a clearer registrations page.

Everything you have opened stays on your phone. With no signal you can still record and stop a ride, read your rides, trips, clubs and ride pages, and show your ticket's QR code at the meetup. Changes you make offline wait and send when signal returns, and the app never signs you out because it was offline.

Ride

  • Every map in the app is Google Maps, with its roads and place names.
  • Recording, stopping and saving a ride work fully without signal, as before.

My Rides

  • Your rides, trips, stats and garage show without signal, with a quiet note of when they last updated.
  • Rename a ride or edit a trip offline; your changes sync when signal returns.

Sharing

  • Share images and replay videos draw your route on MotoTrk's own dark background.
  • Show a QR code for a finished ride, a trip or your live link, so a friend beside you can open it.

Community

  • Group rides have a calmer screen: one clear action at a time, and the roster with its End and Leave at the foot.
  • Group ride codes are four characters, and Invite shows a QR code that opens the join screen.
  • Ride chat messages written offline send when signal returns.

Events

  • Hosts get a new registrations page: counts at the top, riders grouped by where they stand, and one action per rider. On ride day, check riders in from the same page.
  • Add a cover photo to a ride you host. It shows on the ride page and the registration page.
  • Pick the meetup point from Google Maps places when you host a ride.
  • Your ticket's QR code, the host's rider list and check-in work at a meetup with no signal.

Profile

  • A rider's card opens without its numbers jumping in.

Fixes

  • A short note confirms more of what you do, such as changing a vehicle, trimming a ride or saving a club.
  • The app can tell you when a newer version is in the store.
